What I found was most useful for me is to set up any 3rd party accounts in Gmail on a PC, and filter those to a Gmail folder. Then Poll each folder with K9. Otherwise, I assume you just go to settings/more/accounts/ and "add account". Enter hotmail address and PW there.

i register with my email and password which is a hotmail.co.uk email and it says what type of account is this pop3 imap or exchange webdav which one do i click is the question i wanted to ask i wasnt i am on the app right now

I think its pop3. If that does not work you can always change it to IMAP.

it then gives me an edit or continue option i continue anyway when i get to the end and says load up to 25 messages it says synchin disable ....

Probably the port or security settings are incorrect. Double check those. You may have to experiment with the security settings a little.

Hotmail and Yahoo mail are often have problems with email clients other than their own app. This is the way MS and Yahoo want it. My wife had the best success with Hotmail using Maildroid. K9 usually works, but can be inconsistent in our experience. My solution was to not use Hotmail! I still use my Yahoo mail account, but have given up on using any second party apps to access it and use the official app instead. One caveat with Maildroid. We found out just about the time we replaced the wife's Epic 4G that it was responsible for a lot of the issues we had with that phone (weird lock ups/slowdowns, black screens with clicking noises).
