k-9 Mail disc usage

I keep getting a disc usage warning. Right at the top of the list is K9Mail

All I need are the last 50 emails in the inbox of each account. I don't even need the attachments for the most part and really don't need the mail from other folders.

Is there a way to make K-9 do this? Just give me the latest X emails from the inbox, and leave everything else on the server.
This is mainly related to IMAP accounts, but there is a POP account too.

Or an alternative app to K9 that does what I need would be fine.
