K-9 mail has failed me!

I need a new email app suggestion... I've been using Kaiten, but for some reason every time I try to reply to an email the app crashes.

So I went back to K-9 email and it no longer has the option of a confirm box before deleting.

So then I uninstalled everything and went back to Kaiten and that is now missing the confirm for deleting. I'm almost 100% sure that was there before... Maybe they pushed out another update that completely sucks?

I tried the email app on the phone but it has pretty much no customization options and when you delete an email it stays there on the phone and is just greyed out. That made be crazy.

Gmail app is the most awesome but they don't support IMAP (which I think I need in order to have the emails move to the trash folder on the server when I delete them from the phone) Or is there another way to set that up? I have an email account hosted at BlueHost.com

I also get massive amounts of email per day. (easily 400 emails on a moderately busy day) Any suggestions?

Thanks for any help or suggestions!

Really? When I delete ~ it is gone; poof!
I use stock email for all my email accounts, including MS Exchange. It is probably the only stock app (an app that came with the phone) that I actually use.

I wonder why mine was doing that then? Hmm.... I had 50 greyed out emails before I gave up and deleted the account off there. Then had to go delete it all off the server via a computer. Can't stand having to go through emails 2-3 times each.

Maybe I should try again today

I really don't understand why it happens to you. I've been using stock email for over a year now, on two different devices, and it is perfect. My MS Exchange works flawlessly with stock email, it syncs my calendar, contacts and all emails. I also use Gmail, Yahoo and my personal email without any issues.

do you have them hooked up as an IMAP or POP? Or something else? And what the poop are the differences? (Explained in a language that kinderguardeners would understand...) Pretty please

MS Exchange is server-specific. You have to manually configure the email (server and SMTP). Regarding Gmail and or Yahoo, the stock mail does all the work for you (it automatically does the IMAP configurations). All you have to do is provide user name and password. Personally I prefer IMAP, but that's me. You can certainly try them both.

So I tried to add the address into gmail and it deleted everything off the bluehost.com server account thing and brought it into gmail. Which wouldn't be so bad if I hadn't set up this whole separate email because I don't trust google to keep my data/emails for me.

Tried the stock email app again and still had the same problem that when I deleted it off the phone it did not delete off the app and the desktop email. I just don't understand it...

Then I re installed Kaiten for the 9th time and reset it back up (I wish I were exaggerating) and it's suddenly working back the way it's supposed to! I can reply to emails and all my features are back. I think I'm going to somehow blame the google play store... :)

Glad it's working!
But hey, don't blame GoogPlay, just blame Yeahha ;)

LOL Oh I am so running with that logic! This could be dangerous... and could save my coworkers since I am out for blood. Who leaves chicken ceaser salad in a company fridge for 3 weeks? Yeahha does!
