K-9 quickie: what is "save all headers locally"?

There's a message at the top of all the K-9 apps site pages:
(eg, K-9 Mail - Android app on AppBrain)
> "(We're digging into an HTML mail issue on some HTC/Samsung devices. Patches welcome)"

Anyone have any idea what this means? I guess it must be serious if it's at the top of the page. I use the Samsung Galaxy X and have been losing emails since using it for email. It might be pure coincidence but some details on the problem would be good otherwise a comment like that does not inspire confidence. Why not list an issue number and a link?

Saving headers locally won't be relevant to your issue.

Probably because there are many issues logged that are related. It's pretty easy to find several if you hit the Updates link on the K9 site.

I'm quite sure you're right but it'd still be nice to know what it is. What's the alternative to saving headers locally? Saving on the server? Don't really get it.

Well I guess they're refering to issue 2484 which I don't think is anything to do with me.
