Help K1 Wifi kaput - need repair guide

My K1 suddenly can't connect to my WiFi. It sees a good signal, tries to connect, then drops and retries. Other devices connect OK, so seems a hardware failure in K1.

Its out of warranty, so would like to try to fix it myself.

Question: anybody know where I can get my hands on a K1 repair guide?

I did find a blog that shows taking apart a K1 tablet, step by step (link below). Unfortunately, the Wifi module is a soldered-in IC and not removable.
