K9 Mail - Message Content Not Displayed

I've used K9 Mail for quite some time, but just yesterday saw the new version with lots of changes. Getting familiar with it. Messages download and headers appear. I touch a header but no content appears. Temporary workaround: Pretend to forward the message and the content appears in the forwarded message. Kill the forward and the content appears for that message but no other. After several hours of doing this things suddenly started working. Touching any header caused the message content to appear instantly. Switched from Inbox to Sent folder and back to Inbox and now the problem is back - no message content display. I'm thinking I must be missing an option setting somewhere. Any advice?

The problem has not gone away. It comes and goes sporadically. Program works for a while and suddenly messages no longer get displayed. Clearing the cache fixed the problem for a while. Will hope for a future app update to fix the problem.

Hi, having same problem but only on a Tablet. Just tried the restart and all is well, so I guess is a gremlin indeed.

Any views from any of the experts?

I should add that I've seen the problem only on my Asus tablet, which is running Jelly Bean 4.1. Haven't tried it on my phone.
