K9 - Mail Program Issues

Hello,

I am trying to configure the K9 mail program for microsoft exchange connection, I am fairly literate witht these kinds of settings, so I can not see where I am going wrong here.

I have tried -

1/ The exact same settings as in my S3 stock mail program
2/ putting the domain in front of the user name domain/username
3/ Putting in the OWA extension for my outlook webmail
4/ Using SSL and not using SSL
5/ Many other things....

I just cant get it to connect, it keeps telling me I have the wrong username or password, which can not be the case as the stock mail app works fine.

I dont like the stock Samsung S3 home screeen, so I downloaded GO Home screen software, which is fantastic - however I like to have a mail icon on the home screen that notifies how many emails are in the inbox - the stock version does this but once you use the GO homescreen - then it wont.. so
I downloaded the "Notification" app from GO - this does exactly what I want but will only support notifications for K9 mail - any suggestions

I had some similar issues when I setup K-9. I finally realized that when I gave it my email address (xxx@yyyyyy.com), it automatically said xxx was my username -- which is wrong. My username needed to be the whole email address.

I'm wondering if you are missing something similar -- something very simple that's mucking things up.

I've not setup K-9 for Exchange, but I know that for it work with Gmail, there's a setting in Gmail that needs "activate" to grant K-9 (or other POP emails) access. Perhaps Exchange has something similar?
