k9 mail

Hello everyone. I have the huawei ascend 2 from us cellular. I have been using the maildroid till last night and it stopped working and was makieing my phone run really slow. I want to try k9 mail installed it and need the out going server setting mail is comming in but cant send . I have yahoo and live and gmail not using exchange and not rooted.Do not like the stock email . Please help . Thank you
 
Which account do you need the outgoing server setting for? As far as I'm aware, it should set stuff automatically? Most of the accounts should have setup guides/server settings on their web interfaces (I know Gmail does). I've had an issue with Gmail before, but that's because I'm using 2-step verification and you need an app specific password for the outgoing settings, does that make sense?

If you need to change the settings, it's Menu -> More -> Settings -> Account Settings -> Sending -> Outgoing Server
 
i need them for all the accounts i keep getting cannot connect to server or sending failed when i try to send a email.
 
I though the Yahoo paid was only if you wanted POP service. Try checking the setting and change them to IMAP. See if that helps.
 
i tried that and it worked thank you so much. I now can use k9 mail since maildroid was makeing my phone run real slow, thank you so much.
 
I had trouble with the POP account from my website (which uses the SMTP server of my ISP) until I deselected the authorization option.
 
thank you everyone that replyed i got it working now i changed it to imap and had to manually enter the settings that i googled for each account that i have .
