Droid X Running 2.3 Stock, Rooted.
Starting maybe yesterday, it seems as if K9 is no longer receiving push updates for my gmail account.
As a test, I enabled sync email for my gmail account to see if the gmail app gets updates pushed and it does.
Here's what I did to test. I rebooted the phone. I enabled sync email and turned on gmail notifications. K9 is already set to notify.
I sent 2 emails from a 3rd party account. Shortly after, the gmail app notified me of their arrival. I then when into K9 and the emails aren't there. I then did a manual check mail in K9 and the emails were retrieved.
I then deleted 1 of the emails in the gmail app and the other in the K9 app. When I go back into the gmail app, both emails are gone (in other words the update of the deleted mail in k9 got picked up by the gmail app). When I go back into K9, the email that I deleted in the gmail app is still there. If I manually check mail, then that email disappears.
It seems like that would mean the problem is strictly an issue with K9.
But, I didn't change any K9 settings and push folders is still set to only 1st class folders.
Anyone have any ideas? I'm totally stumped here.
