Windows 7
The software just crashes randomly.

Are you soft bricked or hard bricked? Does the phone turn on at least to the lg logo and then go to a black screen or does it get stuck at the lg logo. That may be a big determination if you can unbrick or not.

That's really weird how for some people it works and they can use it as many times as they want, and for others it never works.

Yes , the phone turns on and it stays on the lg logo screen for a while, then it goes to the T-mobile animation screen and it bootloops on that screen

Also in Windows 7, when KDZ crashes, a window pops up that says:"Mod UpTestEx MFC Application has stopped working"

Try doing it by entering emergency mode instead of download mode by plugging it in and immediately holding power+volume up. Or by pressing power+volume down before plugging it. it It should say:
"emergency mode
emergency mode
----------------------
Good luck to you"
That worked for some people. Also make sure you are using "KDZ_FW_UPD" and not "UpTestEX_mod2_marwin"

Ok, I entered emergency mode and still got the same error. I wanted to try it on windows 7 again but i don't have a computer with win7, the previous time I tried it on win7 was on a friends computer, so I downloaded virtualbox and installed win7 ultimate edition but I cant seem to get the phone connected to the win7 vmachine.

Van u get in to recovery

To enter recovery, turn the phone off and power it on by pressing power+volume down. It will ask to format data, press power and it will factory reset and enter recovery. If you can enter recovery, then say so as I think I have a trick to unbrick your phone involving flashing.

When I get to the factory reset screen and confirm it stays there for a bit and then the screen goes black (the screen is still on) and the home button starts shifting colors, after that a little android guy appeared on the screen with a spinning blue circle in the middle (its not the recovery screen) and after a while the phone reboots and starts the bootloop cycle again. Is there a way to force it to enter the recovery mode? It seems like its just skipping over the recovery screen and finding a file or something that it thinks is good to complete the recovery process, maybe the file is incomplete or its corrupted or it just didnt get into the phone correctly (if it was ever transfered into the phone, most likely its just the stock file the phone came with). I really just want to try anything... well not ANYTHING, but you know what I mean:) ... to fix the phone.

Can you tell me about the method you wanted me to try?

I was thinking of putting any custom rom on your sd card and then entering recovery, wiping /system and then flashing the rom. Unfortunately, you seem to be in stock recovery and not CWM recovery so that's not going to work.

Oh ok. Ill just keep trying with different computers and other stuff I find on the internet. Thanks for helping!

Why is it that the KDZ software doesn't work on some phones? I've found some people on the internet with the same error as me and still, no one has been able to find a fix for it.
