Help Keep a message at the top

Wisconsin

Lurker
Is there a way to keep a specific received message at the top of your messages? I bought tickets and received a confirmation and scan .code. I won't be using it for 2 weeks. I don't want it to get lost in the messages. Thanks.

The most newest conversation thread is normally at the top! You can always delete threads when you are done with them if you want it to stay towards the top.

I know

Thank you. I knew that. I was hoping that I wouldn't have to delete others to keep it at the top. A friend phone (not sure which one) lets her mark it somehow to keep it at the top.

I'm not aware of a feature on newer Android's that do that! Maybe a 3rd party messaging app! You're welcome!

I've seen this is some phones, and I know Huawei Mate 10 with Oreo has this feature where one can pin a message and it stays at the top. Samsung I don't know, maybe there is a third-party message app that does?

Chomp SMS has the option to pin a conversation to the top of the list (long press on the conversation then choose that option from the menu).

Google's Messages app and Textra does not have this. Can't say which other apps might.

Textra has it.
Ah yes, I see it!

Honestly, I really don't understand who it was that decided that icons make better user interfaces. That stylised pin icon just didn't register with me at all (perhaps because after finding it as a text-based option in the same developer's other app I instinctively looked in the menu for it and passed over the icons).
