Keep getting error on Google Movies

I just started having error 31 pop up while trying to watch a rented movie on Google Movies. It says touch the screen to retry but it just won't play. I have tried playing previously watched movies from a day back and they won't either. I've tried clearing out all data and cache with no success. Has anybody had this issue?
BTW, my phone is a Verizon HTC One, unlocked and rooted with stock ROM.

Did this just start happening? If might be an issue on Google's side with sending you the movie.

It started happening last night 10 minutes into a rented movie. I've been messing with it today to see if I could get it to play. I've tried pinning it, playing a movie I pinned a few weeks ago. Nothing seems to work.
