Keeping Number...and best deal?

So, I am on a line with my family. It is a legacy plan, similar to SERO. If I get a new line to get the EVO, can I keep my phone number to use with the Evo? Or is the phone number attached to the legacy family plan? We plan on keeping the legacy family plan. Also, what is the best deal on a monthly plan for the Evo. From my understanding, it is $69.99+$10 data charge= $79.99*15% discount for either professionals or students =$67.99.

You should be able to keep your number with no problem, but I'm pretty sure the Evo will require a line with anything in the Everything Data plans if you want to have the discount. I don't think Evo can be attached to legacy/SERO plans so you may have to add it as an individual plan. Best bet - call Sprint directly.
