Root Keeping root with Tmobile update

Now forgive me if this has already been posted...

I have the tmobile version 76920d
Im using the easy root method LGPWN from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2338816&page=1

I still have a locked bootloader and im wondering is there a way to keep root if i take the lastest update....
I have not been able to install a custom recovery like Clockwork mod..

Im thinking ill keep things as they are.. if i update and lose root..
it will be hell to go back.. If anyone can shed some light it would be appreciated..and once again if this has been posed before just point me in that direction.. Im doing this on the fly and i need to head to work..

yeah i installed ota rootkeeper by voodoo 3 days ago when i finally rooted that damn phone...should keep your root...(key word...should)
