keeping screen on

Hi folks, really enjoying my HTC Desire, its everything I wanted from a smartphone. One issue I have is that I have just got a cradle for my phone and would like the screen to remain on while it is in the cradle but cannot find an option to allow this apart from the screen timeout but longest that allows is 30 minutes. Probably missing a setting somewhere so thought I would ask here.

settings -> applications -> development -> 'stay awake while charging'.
