Root Kernel Switch

Is there anyway to take the SD 2.0 kernel and put it in the Velocity 1.2 ROM as well as take the battery saving stuff out of SD 2.0 and put it in Velocity 1.2. Velocity feels like it runs super heavy on my phone...

That would basically be turning Velocity into StormDroid though... Also, it can't just be done like that anyway. The boot.img would have to be reconstructed, and the init.d foles would have to be added to velocity. The latter isn't that hard to do, but the former would take doing.

Something Really crazy, and I know what you are talking about... When I first started using Velocity, It too ran my battery down quite a bit.... However, I was trying out some different Roms a couple months ago, and something that still has worked for me (and I literally have no clue why), but I flashed the Frunisher 1.0 Rom, and decided that after it FC'd everything within the first ten minutes of being alive, I decided to go back to Velocity... at that point, my battery has lasted MUCH MUCH longer as a result. It has lasted that way, all throughout multiple Rom flashes now... I don't know if it will work for you, and Idk if it would work for anyone else... But for some reason (unexplainable) it works.

Just an idea. :)

(Flash Frunisher 1.0, then Flash Another Rom, following ALL steps according to each Rom)

I don't think it really works that way. If you follow every ROM flashing procedure of wiping everything before flashing, the kernel would disappear too. I think it's just some residual thing from Frunisher, honestly. Or a kind of placebo effect from having switched back to Velocity after trying out Frunisher.

Agreed. Something isnt getting wiped but instead of a major meltdown, something is working in favor.

I would definitely agree with both of you... But going from 8 hours battery life with Velocity before Frunisher, Flashing frunisher, and then going back to Velocity, and having a full 24 hours battery life... something happened. I would love to know what, but that effect has lasted ever since.... And I'm running Storm Droid now.. and whatever effect, it still lasts... Just saying. Wasn't meaning that it was foolproof, but it's worth a shot. :)
