Do you have a file manager app like Astro? If not, download it from the Play Store (it's free). From within, it acts very similar to Windows Explorer in that you can go into your Download folder and individually delete the files.
If you have a lot, you can also plug your phone into your PC, and go into the same folder and delete the files from your computer.
