Key Ring app

I've been adding cards to my Key Ring app (you scan your store discount cards into it; I've entered my gym card as well), but I haven't had any success yet in having the card successfully read from the phone by the cashiers at the stores.
Has anyone had any luck with it?

Damn - I just tried it again, using your suggestion, and it still didn't work. There was a long line of disgruntled people waiting, so I didn't take any more time experimenting. The cashier even tried punching the numbers in from the card, and that didn't work either. This was at a Duane Reade store (it's a drug store chain in NYC).

If i was standing behind you i'd be pissed off (new yorker :P)..my caribeaner/keys/cards is part of my look, i'm used to it just being on my belt...

I'm looking to trim down on my apps. Like a lot of folks, I loaded up when I first got the device, and now I'm seeing which ones I want to unload to free up some internal memory. Looks like this one is gonna make the list...

I used mine at Kroger, petsmart and blockbuster just this past weekend with no problems. I think the key (no pun intended) is to have them scan it with the little gun and not the regular scanner thing.

That's what they were using - the little gun. I don't get it. I guess I have to experiment some more with the brightness. It's not like it's a huge memory hog, anyway. I just uninstalled my Documents to Go - it was taking up over 7MB, and it didn't add any functionality over the Quickoffice app that came with the device.
