"Key Ring" apps fail

Not because the programs are bad, but because the scanners in stores mostly cannot read the barcode displayed on the phone!

So we cannot yet get those silly little store tags off our keyrings. Oh well.

These apps only work if the stores use the optical scanners. If they use the laser scanners they usually cannot read the barcode because the laser reflects off the screen. I have this app and use it often at PetCo and Dick's sporting goods.

yeah, most stores that I've come across can't read my barcodes but I still use it because they can manually enter the card #, which is fine with me because I dont have to carry around all those cards in my wallet.
