Root Keyboard and mouse not working anymore...

I have gear head keyboard and mouse combo, it was working perfectly til yesterday. I used it on my PC, and now it shows up under language and input, but it isn't shoeing that it's connected other than that whereas before, I plugged it in and it worked, flawlessly, now nothing. I haven't changed any settings that I know of. Any suggestions? I googled this and I can't find anything on the subject.

under languages and input is the box next to it checked? after you verify that thats good go up to default and make sure its the default too

Honestly it never had a check box, it just shows up as GiGa keyboard under physical keyboard, even when I plug it in now it still shows up but nothing is happening. I've tried everything I can think of to no avail so far
