Root keyboard change?

Can anyone instruct me on how to go about taking a keyboard from one rom and putting it into another? I'm running negalite blu rom because I love the keyboard as I text alot, but I really liked the unsensible rom it seemed alot faster and had much better battery life but only a stock keyboard.
 
Basically...
You need a file explorer or pc
I use rootbrowser on my phone

Look in the Rom zip you want to take it from

Open system/app
Find the keyboard apk, ie 'HTC_IME.APK'
Extract the Apk

Now take that apk and put it in the system/app folder of the Rom you're using.
Set the permissions
Set ownerships both to root

I usually then wipe dalvik, but not always necessary

Reboot

Then you'll need to set your new keyboard as default input

ok, this isn't working. first i don't know what apk the keyboard is, found the one you mentioned above, second how do i set permissions and ownership? Sorry this is kinda new to me I have done rooting flashing and all that but not much further than flashing roms
 
If you're using root browser just press and hold the file. A menu will pop up and there will we an option to set perm and ownership
