Root Keyboard help..

I have a sense 4 keyboard zip file on my sd card from another ROM that i'd like to use with Mobster ROM v2.05. But I'm not sure how to install it.

I tried flashing the zip in 4ext and when I rebooted my phone and went to my keyboard settings, "Touch Input" was there and it wasn't before, so I assume that's the sense 4 keyboard. But when I selected it as my default keyboard, I just kept getting "Touch Input has stopped" messages every few seconds until I changed it back to Mobster's android keyboard.

So then I went in to the zip file and tried to manually install the htc_ime.apk file, but shortly after installation begins I receive a "Not installed" error.

How can I get this keyboard to work with this ROM?

Thank you so much! Will try that now. Do I need to put the other files in the keyboard zip in that folder or just the APK? Do I need to re-zip the rom or anything before flashing? lol

EDIT - unfortunately this didn't work, I added the apk to the app folder in the mobster rom and then rezipped the rom, but when I try to flash it, the install aborts.
 
another way you could do it is take the apk and move it to your sd card using a file manager then move it to system> apps, then change permision to rw-r-r- and restart your phone.

The first method didn't work at all and I want to try the method you described but there doesn't seem to be a "system" folder on my SD card.
 
you need to get a file manager, like Root Explorer or ES File Explorer from the googleplay store which ever you prefer, if you don't have one already, then from the file manager, you look for the apk, and move it to your system folder, then app folder.

(file manager, then look for your apk, copy it or move it to system>app> then paste, then change permisions.)
 
I used the stock keyboard on mobsters rom when I used it. Maybe You misunderstood me . take the HTC_ime.apk file copy and paste it into the system> app file of Mobsters Rom. Then flash mobsters rom. It will work I did it myself

That's what I did, but I had to unzip monsters rom to access that folder, and when I zipped the rom back, it wouldn't flash. It just said install aborted.

I'll pm you an apk so you can put the apk in system/app straight from your phone and then you change the permissions so it will work
