Help Keyboard icon keeps showing up. Why?

I just got an LG G2, and switched over to swiftkey. However, occasionally a little keyboard icon will appear at the top of the screen, and when it I tap it, it says something like 'choose input method - swiftkey'. But of course, I've already chosen it, and that's what I want permanently. Rebooted to no avail. I've probably seen it about 5 times now in the three or so days I've had the phone.

This also happened on my old LG Lucid for about two years straight. Never knew why.

What is going on? Is this an LG problem? And can it be solved, or will I be looking at two more years of a little keyboard popping up from time to time for no apparent reason?

The KB icon pops up in your notification menu every time you open your KB. It's there in case you need to swap you KB on the fly. I don't know any way to disable. Hell, I hardly even notice it's there most the time.

Yeah I'm not a huge fan of that addition either but looks like it's here to stay. Like Kitsap, I've pretty much got used to it now anyway.

For me, just knowing why and when it's there will be a welcome thing. Don't know what 'kitsap' is, but I probably won't like that either:)

Also, is it really true one can't set different vibration patterns for different contacts with my verizon G2?? Even iphone can do that! Think I can workaround that with other apps though.

Newest little headache is there a small qslide icon that has suddenly appeared on my dial screen. If i click, it brings up a miniature dialpad. I don't know the icon got there, and I'd like to get rid of it but can't figure out how.
