Root Keyboard improvements gone after rooted.

I rooted my phone yesterday for the first time. It seems like the on-screen keyboard is back to the way it was before the 2.0.1 update. My typing is missing a lot of letters when I type fast and it isn't responding as well with multiple touches. Does rooting the phone take away the improvements from the 2.0.1 update? My keyboard was flawless before the root.

Rooting alone will not roll back that update, but if you loaded any ROMs that use a kernel that provides overclocking, then they are based on the old 2.0 kernel and do not have the keyboard improvements.

Sholes 2.0.4 should be out tonight with these fixes in place. However, you can also do it yourself here:
