Root Keyboard lag issue

I have been going through a lot of the older posts on the forum looking for a way to get rid of the lag in my keyboard. I noticed it before I installed GB so I don't think this is a GB issue.

I have noticed that most will post fixes such as turning off predictive text, heptic feedback, keytone sound, suggested and predictive words.

I have all those turned off in my droid and I still got the lag in the keyboard. The one suggestion I did not see anywhere was turning off the word pop-up while typing. This is what I did and it worked. It got rid of the keyboard lag.

Now if I could only learn to hit the right letters.......lol.

P:S I am becoming an android forum addict as you can see from all my posts today. I hope most of you don't get annoyed with me for doing so. I enjoy learning about my phone and most of all, I enjoy this forum. The people here are great and I want to contribute any way I can...

i myself didn't really experience any keyboard lag or much at all with froyo....but i have had it a good bit on GB. I've been on the first leak both non rooted and pre rooted (still on that one) and its been an issue. Actually i've kind of gotten used to it now and just forgot about it. Hopefully this is one reason it was rejected by VZW and is fixed in the official GB.
