Help Keyboard lags when trying to backspace or longpress symbols

I've had my g4 for a week now with no issues but just lately that's changed. When i long press a key to type a symbol nothing happens. Usually after about 8 seconds of waiting i just switch to symbol mode to type my comma or exclamation mark.

Similar issue with backspace. Sometimes it just won't do anything. Has anyone else had these issues with the stock LG keyboard?

Yes I have. I can deal with it but the Google keyboard is better in my opinion.

I stopped using the LG keyboard as stated in my previous response. My microphone is missing on my Google keyboard. How do I get it back?

I'm using the Google Keyboard and my microphone is at the top, where your auto correct words appear. Rather the Google keyboard then LG. Like Googles emicons better.
