Keyboard layout issue in Facebook app

I recently bought an HTC One and have encountered a strange problem in the Facebook app. When I type on the keyboard in landscape mode, the predictive text gets the letters wrong on the right hand side of the keyboard. So it thinks U is Y, I is U, O is I, P is O and so on. This is very irritating as it means it falsely corrects "is" to "us" and similar things.

Note that this only occurs in the Facebook app (as far as I know). Typing in landscape mode in text messages and other apps works fine. Also it only affects the predictive text; the actual text input before the "correction" takes place is as typed. Also it only affects the right hand side of the keyboard.

Looking at it I think the sizes of the keys may be different between the Facebook app and other apps - the Y and U keys seem to be not as wide. It may be that the predictive text is based off the standard keyboard layout whereas Facebook itself is using its own sizing for some reason.

Any tips on how to fix this?
