Keyboard problem

I have a bluetooth keyboard that works just fine, the problem is that whenever I click somewhere on the screen and am about to type my soft keyboard on the screen pops up. It's very annoying while writing papers and browsing the web because so much of my screen is being taking.

I've tried making a profile but my tasker knowledge is still pretty basic. I've tried having the profile disable the softkeyboard when blue tooth is connected to the keyboard and that didn't work.

Not a Tasker solution, but you may have good luck with the AnySoftKeyboard, which includes a setting to hide the soft keyboard when a keypress is detected from an external Bluetooth keyboard.

Thank you...worked great. Only problem is if I turn off my keyboard then switch it back on my tablet resets itself and uses the samsung keyboard in order for me to use a bluetooth keyboard. You think I could use something in tasker to have it from switching keyboards or perhaps something to allow me to switch a bit faster?

Ooh, I just remembered that there are "Toggle Hardware Keyboard" and "Switch Input Method" actions available with the Secure Settings plugin. Maybe give that a play?
