Keyboard suggestions

Hiya

For the last some odd year and a half or so I've been using SwiftKey and still love it to this day, but within the last few updates it doesn't play well with my 2 go to browsers (chrome and boat). Are there any decent keyboards with good auto correct and predictions around?

This is my "go to" keyboard at the moment, and I also have Swiftkey and Swype, but this is the one that I actually USE, lol. Prediction is just as good as Swiftkey and it learns very very quickly. For swyping it's even more accurate than Swiftkey, which is what made me stay with it. Lots of free themes, both official and third party if you are into that too, which is why I use it over Swype. Give it a try and you won't be disappointed!

I played around with it for a bit, probably my only complaint is since I'm a fast and not so accurate typer lol if I'm misspelling something and jumble 2 words together, SwiftKey recognizes it's 2 words instead of 1 when I hit space, the new one doesn't sadly but nice overall.

How long would you say the learning curve lasts? I have tried Fleksy more than once, most recently last week to be exact, because everyone raves about it's accuracy, but I just haven't seen it myself. I'm certainly not the most accurate tap typer, so if it was as fantastic as people say it is that would be great. I tried it for a day and wasn't impressed with it's correction abilities, maybe not enough time???

Does it have to have swipe? If you don't mind not having swipe then I definitely recommend Fleksy. There is a learning curve but when you get used to it you learn to miss every single letter of a word and still get the word you want.

I would say a day isn't enough time, but then again I've used it since it came out so that makes my opinion very biased lol. For me it works great, and I've been slowly getting people to try it out and after a week or two they're on their way, stumbling a little less with the autocorrect.

I've used SwiftKey a lot & generally like it, but the accuracy seems to have gotten worse so I keep going back to the Google keyboard. It has swipe & the accuracy is pretty good.

I've also been trying this beta out periodically, still no swipe but the accuracy seems better than the other 2: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.swiftkey.clarity.keyboard&hl=en
Gonna try Clarity.
Count me as another long-time SWIFT KEY user, but, recently, has performed quite poorly (jumbling words after they're typed) especially in Disqus comments.
Using it (Clarity) right now, only wishing for a keyboard height adjustment option.

THX for sharing clarity w/us PattiCakeUS!

Credit goes to codesplice, he started a thread a couple months ago & that's how I learned about it. I keep going back & forth between clarity & the google keyboard, & using SwiftKey less & less.

I use SwiftKey. The only annoying thing about it is if you tap one of the suggested words it inserts the word followed by a space. This has caught me a few times when entering data into a program or script variable or search valye. There ought to b an option to include the space or not include the space.

The problem I've had with SwiftKey is that the accuracy got a bit worse over time instead of better, but right now it seems to be working better again (I've primarily used the Google keyboard for quite a while). I'll have to try SwiftKey again for a while, but I'm starting to doubt the need for it since the Google keyboard is so good.
