Keyboard text "q" or number "1" is not working

My HTC Desire HD text "q" or number "1" is not working for messaging/whatsapping. I have done that calibration but still not worked.

Can anyone help?

Have you tried an alternative keyboard app?

If you play a game, or try to use an app that requires is that area of the screen defective? Does it do the same in landscape?

Open the dialer, and dial *#*#3424#*#*, you'll be taken to a hidden test menu, from there run the line test and see if the area of the screen you're having issues with is picking up touch.

I solved it by going to Setting > Language & keyboard > Touch Input > Text Input > Calibration tool

It works fine now

Hmm, the problem persists again. Could it be the touch screen issue? HELP!!!
