Help Keys Sticking

KezJona

Lurker
Hi folks,

I had my original Sony Xperia S replaced due to the yellow tint issue that appeared on a white background. But now I am experiencing a completely different issue when using any app that requires typing on the touch keyboard.

If I have to delete a few characters I'll backspace but the key will stick and delete the entire thing. If I press the space bar it will bring the hover icon above the icon and will freeze for a couple of seconds before doing anything. If I press a key that usually have symbols above them for foreign languages the menu will appear when I have literally just tapped the key. I restart the phone and the issue will go away but then randomly it will start happening again and it makes texting practically impossible.

In addition, a lot of my apps like the default camera app and Whatsapp will just crash and I'll be forced to force close it. However, with the camera app once I force close it and try to open it up again, it'll just crash randomly once again. To fix it I just restart the phone but it is starting to become a big issue now.

Looking forward to any possible answers anyone will have to help me here.

Kez :)

P.S: This just happened now and made me remember. When I press the right button at the bottom of the screen that should bring up the settings icon, for some reason it always brings up the keyboard to being with, then I use the left one to dismiss the keyboard and try the right one again to then bring up the settings.
