KIES can't connect with gio on macbook

Hi people,

Im have a problem with KIES on my macbook.
macbook has snowleopard on it and i can see the samsung galaxy gio as a noname drive on my mac.
But KIES says after trying to connect " this device is not supported by kies"
On a windows laptop it all ok.
The version of kies is 1.3.0.1202_9.
What is wrong?

Samsung Kies is not supported with Gio. Just use Odin to flash a new update!

I suppose you are right and i am new to this android software, but on windows7 it works ok for me.
Maybe not all functions i did not test it all.
Odin i dont know but i look for it.

i looked for odin and i found out it is for windows only, i wil try it.
But i am looking for a program for my samsung gio and my macbook.
Can anybody help me?
