Help Kies connects to phone but stops working

Hi, I've just changed from an iphone4 to a sgs2.

Unlike most, Kies actually recognises my phone but when I try to sync my apple contacts/messages/photos etc.. with Kies it stops working as it's transferring.

I'm using windows vista home premium.

Anyone have any ideas? I've searched everywhere but the main issue seems to be regarding connection issues. I'm not tied to Kies, I just want my contacts etc from my iphone, so if there's another programme or workaround I'd appreciate some direction.

If you just want to copy contacts, I think the easiest is to sync your iphone contacts to google, and then use the S2 to sync back. (If that can be done)
