Help Kies help !!!

Ive selected KIES MODE in my setting !! still when i connect to my pc...
it shows " CONNECTING " but ,whn i switch my mode to "MASS STORAGE" it gets connectd to my pc and new drive is created !! but..in this mode i cant manage the contacts and messaging of KIES !!
plzz help..
