Help Kies issues with Mac 10.7

I can't get anything to work either, I don't think keys supports mac. Maybe I'm wrong amd someone else else will chime in

how? i have snow leopard but i have tried and tried on safari and firefox and it always pops up as page not responding

There are two methods to connect your samsung galaxy s2 to your macbook.

Method 1: before pluging your phone into your laptop you must turn on usb debugging by following these steps.
1.Settings
2. Applications
3. Development
4. Enable USB debugging
5. Hit the home button

Now connect your s2 to your macbook and on your phones pull down menu you should now see the usb symbol and the "USB connected" clicking this will launch your usb mass storage app on your phone. simple click the Connect usb storage button and your device is now mounted in the finder menu on your mac.

Method 2 wireless.
Please note: this will only work if your s2 and your macbook/computer is on the same wifi network.

1. make sure your phone is connected to your wifi network
2. Theres an app on your phone from the factory called "kies air" click it.
3. hit the start button on the bottom.
4. in the middle of the screen in orange you should see your phones local ip address. ie:(http://192.168.1.143:8080/) and under that the network that you are connected to.
5. In your favorite webbrowser (i tested this on safari and chrome) enter this url exactly as it is on your phone.. http://192.168.1.143:8080/ (dont forget the port)
6. when you enter the your phones http on your computer you will get a confirmation on your phone that you must click allow for this whole process to work
7. enjoy wifi syncing

If you have any questions just post away and i'll try to help.
I hope this helps a few people.

Chambers explained it perfectly,,,,thats exactly how i do it and haven't had any issues from day 1 with both the international version and at&t version

I have tried this to the t. Maybe the problem is I just switched to a netgear router and instead of 192.etc its 10.0.0.11:8089/ could that be it?

lets check a few things...

on your computer get into a terminal.

If you dont know how.. click command key and space key to get to spot light search and start typing terminal and it'll pop up.

in the terminal type in "ifconfig" it will give you the local mac and ip addresses of your macbook...

let us know if it's 192 number or a 10.. number.

let me know what kind of netgear router you have i'll do a little research..

that's a weird problem, according to your read out your phones ip address should be somewhere between 172.16.157.1-172.16.157.255... the fact that your phones local ip address is in a different spectrum is very weird.. The only thing that would make even a little sense why this is happening is your router has dual bands 2.4ghz and a 5ghz and your laptop is connecting to one and your phone is connected to the other.. go into your router setup and if dual band is enabled, try disabling that option.

well that finally got it, i disabled dual band and it gave me a new address to go to and that got it!

thanks for the help

kies is only for wirless transfer, if you want to connect via usb use the method above, your data rates will be 300x faster and you wont have to you some weird ui.

Having the same issue on OSX 10.6.8.

Cant get Kies to work wired VIA USB. I keep getting an error that says to "reconnect the devise in Samsung Kies (PC studio) mode"

I dont see a PC Studio mode anywhere on the phone. There is a "PC Studio" application but is windows only. Kies looks decent and it copies Itunes playlists but I cant get it working. Kies Air works but its not the same at all...
