I just bought my 3rd Galaxy and I'm trying to backup my second one so that I can transfer all of my information over and it will not work. I had this same issue between phones 1 and 2, if this doesn't get fixed I will not be getting a 4th Samsung phone. I love the phones but this problem absolutely HAS to be fixed.
I downloaded the appropriate Kies via the Samsung site, then I plugged my phone in, it took over an hour to "backup" the data then when it was finally done virtually none of it was there. Then I attempted to do it individually (i.e. music, photos, etc.) and it started working and then froze...multiple times. Then it told me that Kies 2.6 was the wrong version and asked me to download Kies 3, then Kies 3 said it didn't support this phone and to use Kies 2.6 and around and around we go. I don't have time to deal with this, it needs to sync and be done. Do I really need to go to an iPhone to make this a simple process? Because that's the next step...
