I've just got myself a GS2 on O2 (UK) and I read on here that a firmware upgrade was available, so I tried an OTA scan with no luck. I then downloaded Kies, plugged my phone in, and got the message "Reconnect the device in Samsung Kies (PC Studio) mode. Current connection not supported by Kies".
So I downloaded New PC Studio, plugged my phone in, and got the message "An unregistered phone has been plugged in, cannot contunue" (or words to that effect). It recognises that a device is there, along with the two drives (USB and SD) but nothing more. When I click on the "Upgrade Mobile Phone" icon it can't find my phone. I've even gone to Samsung.com and fully registered my phone on there, to no avail.
What am I doing wrong, how can I make Kies / NPS / both work, and how can I get the firmware upgrade?
