kies

Ive got a galaxy s2 and i use kies but yesterday kies was up dated and now my phone wont connect to it. it say put device into kies pc studio mode when the phone is in the idle screen it should connect on its own. debugging mode if swithed off and the only thing in the usb settings is for mass storage can anyone help please

What version of kies do you have now? The last noted update was last month (2.2.0.12014_18_7).

Make sure you are using an account with local administrator privilege. Use the USB cable that came with the phone. Don't use a port on a USB hub - use a USB port on the PC. Plug the cable into the phone then into the PC, not the other way around.
