kies3 & ext card backup

v3o1d

Lurker
recently installed Kies3 to backup my S3.

after a few backups i just noticed it doesn't backup the SD card that has most of my images and stuff. could be me, but i don't see an option in preferences to include it.

is this the case with Kies3? if not where do i config this?
if not, recommendations for better backup sw for this phone. free or pay.

To back up the SD card, connect the phone to the computer. Open the phone (the way you would open a hard drive). Then open Card. Then drag whatever you want to wherever you want to back it up on the computer. (If you back up too much at once it may fail - that's a limitation of some USB ports - they can't take huge data transgers, so you have to back up a folder [or part of a folder] at a time.) If that's the case with your computer, Wifi File Transfer or Airdroid may work better for you.

that worked. thx. just surprized Kies3 doesn't have that option, so one doesn't forget to do this "manual backup" of the SD after Kies3 backups its listing. i'll just have to remember.
