Help kill apps or not???

Ok i have been using an pp killer since day 1 looked like a good idea but recently i was trawling all the forums looking for the best app killer when i came accross a few articles stating that app killers are not as great as we all think and that the use more memory because its killing apps the phones needs and the phone is wasting memory restarting them not to mention that it is memory intesive and battery intesive its self

any way to the point i am a compleat noob at this sort of stuff but here is what i did im using launcher pro so i turened on the memory usage moniter thing and just watched my phone for about 2 days and the average memory usage was about 15000kb then i compleatly unistalled my app killer (advanced task killer) and imediatly the memory usage went down to 11000kb and it now stays between 8000 and 12000 so this looks to my like a huge increase in memory please give me your opinions

I am a complate noob so maybe i am reading in to this wrong i really dont know but i would like to here what people think on the subject?

Andy

With Android 2.1 and up you do not need any task killers or memory optimizers. Just let the OS do its job and manage the resources the way it sees fit.

I found media tracks were lagging so I had to kill some tasks to get it to stop but I guess you can use applications in settings for odd problems. I'm back on a non rooted non rom after updating pinch zoom too so a rom will speed things up hopefully.
