Help Kindle App and Android 4.2

Okay, this has frustrated me to no end the last few days. I am not sure if this is related to the 4.2 update or if it's a Kindle app problem. Anyhow, I updated to 4.2 and it appears that afterward I began to have this problem. Once any book is installed and later when my Kindle app goes to sleep or turns off I lose the ability to see all my notes and highlights. (grayed-out option) I Contacted Amazon and they couldn't help.

I restored back to Android 4.1.2 hoping that the update was the problem. Still doing the same thing.

Anyone else seeing this happen? Thoughts?

Ya I have a ton of highlights in my books to help me study. Ya it worked before I just don't know if its the app or OS version change, or something else that broke it.

Probably the Kindle app. I like to share to Facebook when I'm done reading a book, and it's never worked right - always posts a generic amazon kindle link without any book info for what I just read. Have emailed them a few times and always get a "I forwarded it to our tech team..." BS reply.

I have Kindle app on my Bionic and Nexus 7 and both are still working with highlighting, bookmarks, notes, etc. after the upgrades on each device. Try uninstalling Kindle app and reinstalling.

Only books whose authors have granted "sharing permissions" can be shared. The sharing permission status is noted on each ebook's description (where it shows number of pages, author, ISBN number, etc). In my experience, the sharing is rarely granted for current titles.

Yes, the sharing progress option is messed up I don't think it has ever worked right.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app and reset it with my amazon account several times and my marks and notes still don't show.
