Help Kindle Fire HD 7" auto rotation not working

My kindle fire hd is about 6 months old, and just recently it quit auto rotating. I'm aware of the lock/unlock option on the shade and that doesn't do anything. Is it broken or is there some other setting or whatnot that can be changed?

Did you try resetting it by holding down the POWER button for 20 seconds and then restarting?
