KingRoot Safe To Use?

after rooting with kingroot; I unrooted, with kingroot, and root checker says my phone is not rooted anymore. I did a factory reset after that. Is there anything more I can do to protect my information??
Apart from the IMEI, what other information is transmitted to the kingroot servers? I had my fingerprint security recorded on the phone; is there a chance that was transmitted also?
regretting trying kingroot after reading up on it!

King0root is not any better!!!!!! It was attempting daily to send device info to a server.
King0. SU Wanted the following device info and was caught trying to then access a internet connection to send the info to a server...... It also wanted the following...... device serial number and the device ID, the Sim operator(your carrier for data/4g services!the contents of my downloads folders and browser history. Access to storage/SD card and storage/media.
This is not needed at all for the SU operations! Only explanation is it's sending that data to their servers!:mad: You can view the proof in the screen shot!

My phone is hard to root, untill i use kingroot, but as soon as i get root, i install flashify, u can downloaded it from google play, n dont forget to download supersu.zip, n best to get twrp for your device, after you get all the things, run flashify, granted it with root, n then flash twrp.zip and supersu.zip, after reboot, kingroot will gone, supersu been installed perfectly, n you can do what you want with your rooted phone, anyway, goodluck!!!

Do you have to have a stock recovery to flash twrp and supersu?
 
TWRP replaces your stock recovery and is usually installed with the flash tool your device uses, Odin, fastboot or other.
SuperSu is usually installed with a custom recovery.
Stock recovery not needed.
 
Nothing is working for my pantech breakout. Cant get it rooted for nothing. Ive tried kingroot,  kingoroot,  supersu  and supersu pro. I had no problems rooting my alcatel one touch xl pop355.
 
Different phone require different methods to root, so past experience with a different phone from a different manufacturer means nothing. What software version it is running also makes a difference. There are phones for which no root solution is available.

When reading some of the earlier posts my first thought was that custom recoveries, like TWRP, aren't available for all phones. Knowing whether they exist for that model (you can't use one built for a different phone) would help in determining what your options are.

Well i know it can be rooted and and can have cwm recovery. Someone posted it on xda. Also I seen something about a download called gingerbreak. Gonna try that too. Thank you I appreciate the help.
 
Gingerbreak is old - as the name implies, it dates back to 2.3. Give it a go, but I'll be surprised if it works.

I don't suppose the XDA post said how they'd done it? If they didn't, have you asked them? Sometimes exploits are closed by software updates though, which is why the software version can matter.

Then your chances are much better - Android 6 and 7 defeat most or all of those rooting apps, so when you said nothing was working I was assuming you were using something recent.
 
Got it. Went threw and deleted everything that had to do with rooting and then did kingroot. Now im gonna get supersu pro apk and flash that with cwm recovery and ill be good to go.
 
Have they come up with a way to root the Moto E4 Verizon version? Previously I was using a Alcatel one touch fierce xl from metro.
 
For anyone asking king root is safe but the list of devices is long it's a small team hunting exploits and they have a request system that orders which device is next depending on how many ppl request the same device I can't use it for my Jasper LTE unfortunately it's one of them low queue devices but It will work for the more popular ones for sure

Kingroot was successful in my Project Tango Tablet with Android v 4.4.2, after several attempts. Here is my info in Spanish (sorry):

You do realize you are replying to a thread that was last replied to ba year ago right? If your device is from within the last 2 to 3 years Kingroot will most likely not work. Hasn't been updated in almost a year and doesn't work on Android 6 or later.
