Help Kit Kat 4G

4G service is unreliable if not non-existent since upgrade to kit Kat. I'm on developers edition moto x.

Anyone else having issues?

Carrier: Not Provided <- they are known for no-so-good signal around here

/yeah yeah vzw kitkat users grrrr :);)

I don't get a good enough signal at my house to actually help you but, what I have noticed in the past is that the signal tanks when updates are rolling out. Not saying that's the issue for you but I wouldn't be surprised if it was part of it.
When I got my X and powered it up it did find the weak 4G signal here, I just switched it 3G to save battery.
You can try taking the SIM out and putting it back in/power up, sometimes that can help too.

Just read my news feed(s), and it looks like T-Mobile is up for their update, today.

We may be able to offer some input, soon, lol.

Yeah i actually got the update a few hours after posting here, no LTE problems, and sorry if that was snarky @ the OP. not sure what could be wrong.

I'm with Verizon and there are no 4G problems for me here in the Baltimore area, other than the usual spots. You might give it a week. Try a factory reset before you go through the hassle of returning it.

I live in the Chicago area and I can report that Verizon has flipped the switch on AWS. I am getting some insanely high speeds. In some areas where I used to get 8 Mbps I am getting upwards of 80 Mbps. I've noticed that it's not on every tower, but at least 80% of the towers. More the closer you get to the city. I noticed these speeds the day after my phone updated to 4.4. It seems like Verizon activated the radios on the Moto X with this update.

Just got my Moto X so I don't have a lot of history to go by. But one thing I did notice I thought I would pass along is that when I got my phone is was not updated yet (4.2.2). During activation VZW had me switch the mobile network from "Global" to "LTE/CDMA".
Then, after activated I immediately updated and did a factory reset after that. I wasn't getting a good 4G signal and I noticed that the mobile network had reverted back to Global, so I switched it back to LTE/CDMA and am getting a better 4G signal (not that it's great where I live anyway, but it is where I work). not sure how it was even working set to Global.. but I admit I don't really know what it means anyway.

just got the moto x today...Love it! Kit Kat update came through a few minutes after I took it out of the box.

I thought you just got the G2? You switch as much as I do, though I am planning on keeping the X for a while. Or so I say, lol.

What up Wolf!!! As fast as that G2 got unpacked was as fast as it went back. It's a cool phone and all but i couldn't roll with the software, hardware wise pretty cool, but other then that...No go for a stock guy like me. Was gonna do the nexus but the reports of the camera and bad speaker are a no go for me.

Soooo...Looked to moto for some Stock like goodness and am very pleased so far. Build quality could be a bit better IMO, and shooter can as well, but otherwise the phone is just what I'm looking for size wise and all, and It's rockin Kit Kat sooner then some nexus devices and Google experience phones. Works for me at the moment, good things are in the pipeline for moto I'd say.
