Help Kit Kat and Phandroid App

Since the Kit Kat update, every time I open the Phandroid app, the Phandroid icon shows up in the notification area. If I close the app it's still there. The only way to get rid of it is to go in apps settings and force the app to stop running. Any ideas to not have it show up?

I had this problem to, until I realized you can stop it by unchecking show notifications in the app info. For some reason, it's set as the default.

And, it's not just a Kit Kat thing. My nexus tablet started doing it with 4.3.

Hmmm...that took care of it, thanks! I wonder why it started with KK for me and other apps aren't doing though.
