Help Kit Kat Apps

Soooo. post update to Kit Kat I noticed a couple of my Apps acting up. Burning battery - causing it to run warm etc. I have since removed them. I am wondering what Apps everyone is using for the following tasks and if they work in harmony with Kit Kat.

Digital Clock - something cool, sleek, modern.

Weather - an on screen widget that displays a visual of the current weather

Battery - something that gives 1% increments - I fell back on circle battery - any others that look better would be appreciated.

(I had the rings widget - no bueno :smokingsomb

I also had weather bug but it was not updating and being buggy. Anyone have suggestions?

I use HD Widgets for weather (location set, gps disabled), the 3 day forecast and current conditions 4 x 1. It's set to update every 15 or 30 minutes (forgot which I set it for). Never had a problem with it, works just fine on KitKat.

My battery stats and clock are through Make Your Own Clock (I have the paid), pretty versatile little app.

Dang it that's twice I have done that, it's knee jerk for me, learned it from my grandpa many many moons ago. Sorry Ma'am.

Is that the pro version of the weather? Any of that pay per view?

Had to go look, yeah, they are all paid apps. Not sure if there are free versions or not, I like to buy or donate whenever I find a great app.

I know a lot of people talk about Timely, though I've never used it. (Do you mean an actual clock app or a widget?)

Ok, I'm still on Jellybean, but I've just gone through them all. I keep going back and forth, but these are the ones that I like:

- Transparent Clock and Weather widget: Not beautiful, but the clock stays current and the weather info is good, including good locations

- Android Weather & Clock Widget - I like this widget. Info is great, it looks great, location info is great - but the app is free, and if you ever tap on the weather you are brought to an app with the ugliest ads that I have ever seen on the bottom. It also uses a bit more battery that the one above.

- Eye In The Sky - beautiful widgets, but I have seen the location off by a town or two. (That's a very, very minor issue, of course.)

- 1Weather:Widget Forecast Radar - not bad, but I don't like the way the widgets look. You may like it, though.

I've also tried Yahoo, but the clock on their widget doesn't always stay updated. Otherwise, it's a very attractive widget. (It also uses more battery than most other weather widgets.) Chronus isn't bad.

I've used Beautiful Widgets in the past, but I find the Sense-like widget look dated.

Again, I'm still on JB so can't comment on KK usage, but these are all worth a look IMHO.

If you haven't tried BeWeather, do try it. I swear I must have tried them all before getting around to BeWeather, but IMO it's far and away the best. Low cpu usage, reliable, gets data from wunderground, attractive widgets.

I am in pretty good shape now, just no good radar app to replace the radar in weather bug. Using radar now and it works but the graphic interface kinda sucks.
