I was just wondering if anyone has the ability and/or ambition to try making an OC kernel for the new KK 4.4.2 B12 update for the Warp 4G Lte (N9510)?

ZTE has not released the 4.4.2 kernel source yet, so this is not currently possible. Start sending them emails requesting it and you will probably get it. Legally, they must release the kernel source per the GPL license so feel free to mention that if you think it will help ;)

Email is sent requesting Source Code. Wonder if/when I'll get a productive response..

Hopefully you receive the info needed to get this back up to the 1.8ghz it once was. Looking forward to it. If I can help in any way, just ask. Thanks to all the devs who got us this far!

My JB B07 Run w/ Cdz's OC kernel (no WiFi) was 40024. NUTS!! Can't wait to see what an OC kernel does for our Kit Kat

OK.. ZTE kernel update:
-Dear ZTE-
To whom it may concern,
Where might I find the Kit Kat 4.4.2 open Source Code for the Warp 4G Lte (N9510] that is legally required to be posted per GPL license for development purposes?

Response:
Dear Customer,

Thank you for contacting ZTE and your prompt reply.

If you are looking for the Kernel source code than

Please check in the below link .

http://support.zte.com.cn/support/news/NewsMain.aspx?type=service

If that model is not available there than we really Sorry to inform you that we can't provide this now it may take more time depends on the technical department.

You can also contact the local dealer where you purchased the device to or network operator to send a request to ZTE so that we can release the Kernel source code because

ZTE is not selling any product to the customer or in the market directly.

ZTE will sell only in bulk quantity to the network provider and to the dealer

Should there be further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Bullshit if u ask me.. So I responded:

OK then, would you please provide me a way or link to reach the Technical Dept of ZTE? You guys are required BY LAW to provide the source code that I'm trying to obtain. These Android Developers outside of ZTE are the main reason your phones get sold and they also help improve your sales by making the units more customizable for the end users. So help us help you become top of the charts for most sold & best equipment by providing that source code.
Sincerely - bcrichster

Maybe get results that way..?? We'll see.

That is their defacto email response whenever somebody asks fire kernel source they haven't released. We need tons of emails to them before they will even do anything. I will start spamming emails to them when i have access to a computer :-) We need everybody to spam emails to them everyday. Do they have any other form of contact?

Haha.. New email:

I already know that my serial number and IMEI number is irrelevant to provide a source code. Nice try on that one, but not slick enough. My phone handset is the ZTE Warp 4G, model is: N9510. Plz help me help You make this phone perform beyond expectations. I've benchmarked tested this phone above 40,000... Thank you and Sincerely, - bcrichster

[emoji41]Hopefully some progress can be achieved with us all trying [emoji12]

They probably took notice of "Technical Dept" and ignored the rest of the email lol. Not that the IMEI is helpful for this situation. Especially since this phone doesn't have an IMEI! :p

I keep sending an email every few weeks and they've decided to quit responding or something..

Well I understand life gets in the way some times I for one rely on these guys and girls and appreciate all they do not that u Don't just giving them the credit they do

Just speculating here, but the warp 4g and the awe are similar enough that the AWEstruck kernel might work. Anyone willing to try?

Aww! Dang! I just dropped my phone & shattered It TODAY. Just bought the Warp Sync cuz i couldn't find any more Warp Lte's.. I'd have tried that kernel in a heartbeat

Curious. To those who have tried both setups, is it better currently to have a jellybean rom with the oc kernel or the kitkat without oc? Opinions?

I gave up JB & OC for the built-in quick toggles on KK. If you want OC for intense games & stuff then stick w/ JB. JimSmith made an excellent 1.5Gh OC kernel with working WiFi.

Yeah not really into gaming on the phone. Not my preferred media type for such things. Think I'll stick with the kitkat and longer battery life if there's no real world difference in the snappyness of the oc in everyday use, net and news apps, video etc.
