Kitkat SD card crippling redux

I've just noticed that the writers of QuickPic app - which I use all the time - seem to have solved the KitKat deliberate crippling of the SD card. It now all works as it should irrespective of whether you are writing to or reading from the SD card or moving files to and fro or editing/working on them. So no more tedious file work arounds. Thanks I use ES File explorer as well and I was pissed off that I couldn't rename any of my Old Time Radio files after downloading. But... I just tried it and can't rename a mp3 file. What version are you using I'm on V3.1.4 (Market).
