Help Known Device

I recently bought Samsung Galaxy 3 and I have a little issue in getting my smartphone to communicate with my Windows 7 notebook.
I have turned on USB debug and also installed Kies ver 2.3.3 and I am still unable to get communication going. Windows does see the device but only as Known Device so I assume I need some sort of driver. Could someone give me a little direction on were to look.

In device manager do you see SAMSUNG Android USB Modem or SAMSUNG Android USB Composite Device while phone is plugged in to computer? Have you pulled down the status bar shade on phone and tap USB connected message? W7 is better than all previous versions in regards to finding proper driver software upon insertion of a new device. Let us know how you get on.

Nope dont see any of these things
