Kodi Update

Hi

I got my M8S box fully loaded with Kodi 15.2 on it I have tried to upgrade this to 16.0 Jarvis but it errors stating it the software is on the machine with the same name. Any help on how to update this would be greatful, I have read articles about this but nearly all of them say press the reset in the back which I am reluctant to do as I have also heard of people doing this and when the box comes back on it asks for a password?

I have looked in the play store and apps but kodi isn't listed?

You can't update the existing installation.

Uninstall the old version then go to Google Playstore and download the latest version...

I did this and it worked out fine.

Hit Settings > Apps > Kodi > Uninstall
(Your settings - if you have made any yet - won't be preserved.)

This worked for me.

To re-install Kodi from the Google Playstore you must make sure you have two things installed and working...

Google Playstore App
Google Playstore Services

(Sometimes the Google Playstore Services doesn't boot up or it crashes.)
